As far as the examples go, having more then one knife and being different sizes and lengths would be best. Having more then a firesteel, like including a simple butane lighter, or matches, or a fresnel lens would improve your combustion options. A metal canteen or at least a plastic canteen and metal cup would be a good combination. A Guyot Designs stainless steel "Nalgene" bottle is a favorite of mine, with a GSI Glacier cup nested with it. Paracord is great, but consider also some bankline or even some heavy braided fishline or thread. And finally, rounding out the top five, consider also a tarp as well as poncho, or even a poncho liner that could be used with the poncho to make a makeshift sleeping bag or even a large 55 gallon garbage bag. Lots of options, find what works best for your size kit.
